I hadn't checked on my garden in a couple of weeks. It's been raining A LOT. I was sure everything was ruined. I went out to check on my little plants the other day and everything has shot up!
My dill has grown about 3 feet tall and the cucumber "bushes" turned out to be vines with 10 blossoms each. The cherry tomatoes are flowering and there is some fruit on them already. Along with the jalepenos - whose leaves look yellow but are bearing fruit nonetheless. Even my seeds that I sprouted in the ground (poppies, zinnias, cosmos and beets) are doing well.
The epiphany is this: Put them in the ground, let it rain and ignore them and they'll still do their job!!
I rearranged a few of the plants, moved them to a different square so that I can get my tomato plants this week. I also need to build my trellis for the cukes and tomatoes. top row: (R-L) marigolds, lavender, dahlia yellow, dahlia pink
2nd row: zinnias, cleared for basil (sprouting), beets, cherry tomatoes
3rd row: dill, tarragon, poppies and cosmos, jalepenos
bottom row: cleared for tomato, cuke, tomato, cuke
